  • leiya (b.1995, year of the wood boar)
  • japanese-ghanaian

about: 
  • i am a social practice artist exploring contemporary consciousness at the intersection of technology, embodiment, and alternative ways of knowing. 
  • i create containers for collective remembering, sustained questioning, integration, weaving together body and mind, personal and political, human and earth.
  • i call myself “the fickle writer” to celebrate a way of being that is ruled by transience and interstiality, an ontology that is unencumbered by discipline and labelling. 

interests: 
  • engaging with and living inside media, technology, and sociopolitical structures, then reporting back the embodied experience;
  • the blurred boundaries between digital and physical, artificial and natural, individual and collective consciousness
